For Minnesota 245D providers

Your 245D packet,
pre‑filled from the documents you have.

nnipa reads county assessments, support plans and medication charts, including scans, handwriting and phone photos. It pre-fills admission and review forms, links each fact to its source page and marks what needs a person.

Pre-filled, not finished. Early access, Minnesota first. Built on real packets with one provider in Moorhead.

01 · How it fills the packet

Every fact has a page behind it. Every gap says so.

Choose a field to see where it came from. When the documents don't say, nnipa leaves the field empty and tells you, instead of guessing.

Your coordinator must confirm it before the review calendar can be set. nnipa leaves the field blank rather than guess.

Most compliance software is a place to type. nnipa reads.

Keep your system of record. nnipa reads the documents before the facts go into it. Your team checks the facts and answers what the documents cannot.

02 · What it reads

A scan. A phone photo. The county's PDF.

Upload what you were sent, in the shape it arrived. nnipa does not ask you to retype it into a template first.

  • MnCHOICES assessment PDF from the county
  • CADI or DD support plan scanned, often crooked
  • Medication chart handwritten, photographed on a phone
  • Functional assessment, contacts, prior packets whatever the file already holds

03 · The review clock

The first packet is not the last one.

nnipa keeps the source documents and previous packets together, so the next review starts with the facts already in the record. Your coordinator confirms which reviews apply and when they are due.

The current calendar is for continuous services. It does not count days of service for intermittent services.

04 · Alongside what you use

Keep the system you have. Stop retyping into it.

You keep

  • Your system of record and your billing
  • Your own form set, layout included
  • The judgement and the signature

nnipa takes

  • Reading the county's documents
  • Filling the same facts into every form
  • Keeping your confirmed review dates visible

05 · Said plainly

What nnipa does not claim.

You will be sold to by people who overpromise. Here is where nnipa stops.

  • It is early. One Minnesota provider, on real packets. No testimonials, no logos, no customer counts we cannot show.
  • Review packets arrive pre-filled, not finished. Some repeating sections still need a person, and nnipa marks which ones before you find out. Your coordinator confirms the review dates and cadence.
  • We don't say "HIPAA-compliant." There has been no third-party assessment, and the vendor agreements for handling protected health information are not yet in place. Until they are, walkthroughs use synthetic documents only.
  • What is true today: a dedicated encryption key, versioned storage, public access blocked, encrypted transport only. That is a description, not a certificate.
  • It does not replace your licence, your staff or your judgement. It replaces the retyping.

Questions providers ask first.

Is nnipa for children's foster care?

No. nnipa is for Minnesota 245D providers: home and community-based services, adult foster care and community residential settings funded through the disability waivers. Children's foster care is a different system with different forms.

Do I have to change my forms?

No. Minnesota sets what a packet must document, not which form it goes on, so providers use different form sets. nnipa fills the forms you already use.

Does it replace Therap or my current system?

No. Keep your system of record. nnipa does the reading and the filling that happens before anything is entered there.

Can I upload a real person's documents today?

Not yet. Until the vendor agreements for protected health information are in place, walkthroughs use synthetic documents. We will say so plainly when that changes.

What does it cost?

Pricing is not public yet. It will be set against what a day of packet work costs a small agency, not against enterprise software. Waitlist members hear first.

Is it only for Minnesota?

For now. The forms and the review sequence are built on Minnesota chapter 245D. Other states come after Minnesota works well.

Join the nnipa waitlist.

We will invite Minnesota 245D providers one at a time, checking each packet against the provider's own forms. Join the list and we will write when there is room.

  • One email when a place opens. No newsletter unless you ask.
  • A walkthrough on synthetic documents, never on a real person's file.
  • No commitment and no card.
